New members welcome!

The Corps will be hosting an open house for prospective new members, parents, friends, and alumni on Sunday, November 6th, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Brady Sullivan Tower, 1750 Elm Street, Manchester, New Hampshire. All are welcome!

Have you ever wanted to join a drum corps but are not sure how? Are you a current musician or a musician who has not played in awhile? Do you perform in a winter guard or percussion and would like to continue performing during the summer? Interested in being a member of the Muchachos Drum and Bugle Corps?

Like any other drum corps, the Muchachos is looking to add to its membership for the upcoming 2017 performance season. (You do realize that the Muchachos Drum and Bugle Corps performs a field show at Drum Corps International competitions!)

Come learn about the Corps, talk with staff, get your questions answered, watch--or even participate--in the day's rehearsal to see what drum corps is all about. The Muchachos is an all-age Corps, open to both youth (ages 14* and up) and adults.

A number of current and former members have previously performed or have gone on to perform with World and Open Class Drum Corps International (DCI) corps.

Participate for the day!

Are you interested in participating at the Open House, either with the drum line, horn line or color guard? The Corps will supply instruments and equipment. If you have sticks or mallets (drummers) or a mouthpiece (brass players), please feel free to bring them. For color guard practice, we have flags and rifles or you can bring your own!

Please help us plan for our Open House by letting us know that you are coming!

Registering for our Open House through the form below will help us prepare for the best experience possible. There is no obligation to join the Corps through registration or by attending the open house. Open House registration is optional.

If you prefer, you can let us know you are attending by sending an email to Corps Director, Al Gagne.

Note: Submitting the form above will bring you to the CorpsData website. After filling out additional information, you will be brought back to the website.

Any questions? Feel free to contact us.

Can't make it to the Open House? Check out our Schedule. You are more than welcome to join us at any of our rehearsals.

We look forward to meeting you at our Open House!

Positions are available in all sections—brass, percussion and guard—as well as support staff.

The Muchachos Drum and Bugle Corps of Manchester, NH is a Drum Corps International (DCI) all-age corps performing in exhibition at the same shows as the elite corps of DCI. This past summer, the Muchachos performed at shows featuring Boston Crusaders, Bluecoats, The Cadets, Crossmen, Phantom Regiment, Cavaliers, Jersey Surf, 7th Regiment, and Spartans to name a few.

As a true ALL-AGE corps, members range from 14* years old up through retirement age. Many members have previously performed with other drum corps, including DCI Open and World Class corps, and others with college and high school bands. The Muchachos is a teaching corps, dedicated to providing musical, color guard and marching instruction to all interested in drum corps performing arts.

If you are a high school or college musician or guard member, or an alumnus of a band or drum corps, and are interested in performing in a Drum Corps International (DCI) corps next summer but thought it too expensive or are unable to take the time off to go on tour, you owe it to yourself to check out the Muchachos and see why members return year after year.

Did you know? The Muchachos Drum and Bugle Corps provides almost everything you need to perform with the Corps: instruments (horns and drums), guard equipment, uniforms (except for personal items like shoes, hats and gloves), transportation to away events, and high-quality instruction. You bring your skills, dedication, willingness to learn (and to have fun), and your enthusiasm. All for a low annual tuition of $200.

During the winter months, the corps learns and rehearses music performed in next summer's field show and in parades. In the spring and summer months, the corps learns and rehearses drill for the field show that the corps will perform at Boston-area drum corps shows.

We would love for you to join us, for a single season or for many. We take ourselves seriously (but not too seriously) and enjoy performing in front of both large and small audiences. Whether we are playing for the special needs children at Camp Fatima or before large audiences at DCI World Class shows, we all get a kick out of being part of something special.

You will spend time around some really nice people with similar interest and love for music, and you will get to experience the excitement of performing in a group with a high quality show in front of adoring crowds!

For more information and to be notified about upcoming open houses, or to speak with someone regarding membership, please fill out an applicant interest form or contact us by phone or email.

If you're a former or current musician or guard member and interested in drum corps performing arts, you owe it to yourself to check out the Muchachos and see why members return year after year!

*Youth under the age of 14 may be eligible to participate on a case-by-case basis.

Congratulations to Legends Drum and Bugle Corps of Kalamazoo, MI on their win at Fiesta de Musica 2016!

For those attending Fiesta de Musica last evening, it was certainly an eventful event! After the Muchachos performance, everyone was ushered off the field (Crusaders Senior) and out of the stadium as the menacing sky quickly morphed into a full-blown storm, with heavy rain and wild winds forcing all to take shelter. Some two hours later, under much cooler conditions, the show goes on! It looked like no one had left, as everyone moved back into the stands, and we were all entertained by some very talented performers, both young and old.

The Crusaders Senior retook the field as the second corps to perform in exhibition followed by North Star Alumni to close out the exhibition portion of the show.

The results of last evening's DCI Open Class competition:

  1. Legends - 64.400
  2. Spartans - 63.200
  3. 7th Regiment - 61.000
  4. Les Stentors - 48.200

Thank you to all participating Corps, the Muchachos staff, volunteers, Inspire Arts & Music, and the Manchester audience, for making Fiesta de Musica 2016 a great success!
